Lenten Devotion - March 27th, 2010

Read: Mark 10: 46-52

In Mark's account of the blind man we see a determined man who wants something from Jesus. He continues to cry to Him louder and louder, till Christ brings him to Him. We are to be like this man each day crying for Jesus to make us whole, to make us like Him. To feed us His spiritual blessing. Too many days we are in the dark, lost and looking for answers. We need to cry to Jesus and ask Him to light our way.
To have faith that Jesus can make us whole and give us the sight we seek to do what is right. This is a lesson of asking God over and over till we get what we need to be a child of God and to receive what we need to be close to Jesus. We must cry aloud "Thou son of David, have mercy on me" and let Christ's mercy rain down on you with love to help you and guide you in this life.

Prayer: Lord, help me today to understand Your will. Teach me in Your word and others what I need to be close to You. Bring understanding where darkness is and may You bless me this day with Your love. Amen.
