Lenten Devotion - March 18th, 2010

Read: I Corinthians 12: 12-26

God teaches us that the body is a complex system of parts and that every part is important. No matter what comparison you make one part is not more important that another part, for without all parts working together the system will eventually fail. This stands true of the Church. The Church should not be thought of as a physical building but a body of organized believers. The body of organized believers must work together every minute, hour, day and year. The same as your body must in order to continue to succeed and not suffer irreversible break down. We as a Church must insure that we are working together to bring the word of God to all and the promise of eternal salvation through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We must remember that "actions speak louder than words." As we continue through the Lenten Season, let us all pray together that we can make the commitment to let each of us, as a united body of Christ, work together to fulfill the goals of the Church. The goal of insuring that everyone we know and have the opportunity to have contact with gets the information needed to become a friend of God and find eternal salvation through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
