This cat was found at our barn and the poor thing was just skin and bones. I brought him home because he was so loving and thought I would see if he survived. Well he was pretty sickly and rather gross but within a month I could see he was going to make it. The next test for this cat was to see how well he would handle my three Australian shepherds. So now and then I would let the dogs in the garage to see what "Shorty" would do. The cat totally accepted the dogs and the dogs were fine with him. So now it was off to the vet to get some shots, de-wormed, neutered, ears cleaned and some antibiotics. Now as you can see he is a very hansom boy and lives in the house with us. He got his name because he is a little short on brains, hence "Shorty".
This is Oliver and Max, two of the dogs that Shorty just loves to terrorize. He will try to take toys away from these two and when they get mad at him, Shorty just stands there and looks at them. It sometimes sounds like the poor cat is going to be ripped apart, but its all noise and Shorty isn't intimidated at all. I think it just reinforces the fact that we have named the cat correctly.
